Description
Clustered bracket, diced and dried, wild-harvested. Hand-sorted and gently dried.
The clustered bracket grows in flat brackets overlapping like roof tiles on weakened broadleaf trees, especially beech and maple. When young it is rust brown and velvety, with age it darkens and becomes brittle. Its German name refers to the silky sheen of the surface.
